Most patients will undergo between 15 to 20 sessions over the course of five to six weeks, with typically five sessions a week for one week, three sessions a week for three weeks and two sessions a week for one to two weeks and the last week is focused on core stability rehabilitation and instruction on a customized home exercise program.
This treatment does not hurt, however most patients report feeling a gentle pull at their hips, back or neck. The therapy is comfort-based. Patients often report a sense of relief and relaxation during the session. Many patients even fall asleep!
