Introduction

Peripheral neuropathy refers to the conditions that occur when nerves that carry messages to and from the brain and spinal cord from and to the rest of the body are damaged or diseased. These nerves make up an intricate network that connects brain, spine to muscles, skin and internal organs. Any damage will affect the dermatomes which can affect communication between the brain and another part of the body causing restricted muscle movement and prevents normal sensation in arms, legs and causes pain.
